Gary Lee

Gary Lee applies his signature sensibility to a wide range of project types, from interior to product design. After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Architecture and Design, Lee established his own firm in 1993. From the beginning, his vision was of a studio dedicated to creating designs that bond quality and function, texture and simplicity. He was awarded the prestigious Interior Designer of the Year and is a member of the highly selective Interior Design Hall of Fame. Having opened offices on both coasts to expand his practice, Lee now splits his time between Chicago, New York, and San Francisco.

In 1999, Knoll introduced the Lee Lounge Seating ― an elegant collection that embodies the designer’s attention to detail and mastery of proportion.
